The workshop, jointly organised by the Medical Ultrasound Society (Singapore) (MUSS) and RadiologyAsia will be led by Mr Peter Coombs, Senior Lecturer in Ultrasound at Monash University and Sonographer in charge at Monash. He will joined by a group of experienced Senior Sonographers from Singapore. This workshop is suitable for practitioners (Sonographers/Radiographers/Doctors) who are new to vascular ultrasound as well as practitioners with moderate level of experience and will like to refresh their technique and learn new tips.
Participants will be arranged into groups, which will be kept small to ensure sufficient hands-on practice,  and good interaction/consultation time with tutors. As class size is limited, interested participant is encouraged to sign up early.

The Essentials of Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound

The workshop covers anatomy, information of common pathology, scanning technique, and provide intensive hands-on for:
  1. Carotid and brachiocephalic arteries
  2. Upper limb deep and superficial veins (venous thrombosis)
  3. Upper limb arteries
  4. Lower limb deep and superficial veins (venous thrombosis)
  5. Lower limb arteries
